Center Parcs reveal surge in bookings

Thursday, 3 February 2011 8:47 AM

Center Parcs has seen a surge in online bookings as customers start their planning for the rest of 2011.

They took an average of a booking every minute during January, with 76 per cent being taken on line at www.centerparcs.co.uk.

Sunday 9th January was the busiest day, as the short break specialists received a record number of bookings, with the period over Easter and the Royal Wedding proving popular.

Center Parcs can be found in four locations across the UK, Sherwood Forest (Nottinghamshire), Elveden Forest (Suffolk), Longleat Forest (Wiltshire) and Whinfell Forest, (Cumbria).

They have over 150 activities available at the sites from tree trekking to teddy bear making and there are also clubs to keep the children busy so the adults can have time relaxing in the Aqua Sana spa.

Center Parcs Sales and Marketing Director, Colin Whaley said: “The increase in bookings made through our website we believe is down to good functionality, a good selection of videos and the ability to make activity bookings and spa bookings online too.”

Center Parcs are providing short breaks from £289 until March 9th and while booking on line guests are also being asked to vote for their favourite memories.
