Thursday, 25 August 2011 12:55 PM

We know that activity breaks are growing in popularity, especially amongst German holidaymakers, now everyone can enjoy a cycling break in Nuremberg, for less, to tie in with the annual cycle race “Around the Old Town”.

The event takes place on September 4th and airberlin are offering the added incentive of flights for just £41 one way, from London Gatwick to Nuremberg.

Over 100,000 spectators will take their place, in front of the castle, to cheer on the male and female competitors, including the top international cycling teams chasing world cup points.

While visitors looking to get on their bikes, can explore the cycle paths in and around the area, with bike rental available from one of several outlets in the city.

There are plenty of other things to do and see while in the German city, which is famous for its architecture including the walls which divide the city and the mix of medieval and modern buildings.

Flights can be booked online at www.airberlin.com or over the phone at 0871 500 0737, with the cheap ticket price including all taxes, charges and topbonus miles.
