Discover Europe by rail next spring

Friday, 10 December 2010 5:31 PM

Winter may be drawing in, but there’s plenty to look forward to in the spring, with a wide range of European tours available from Treyn, the rail holidays specialist, including trips to Belgium, Germany, France and Holland.

The four-day Bruges and Ypres break gives you an insight into the culture and history of Belgium from just £259 per person, including three nights’ bed and breakfast and a fully-escorted tour itinerary.

Departing by Eurostar from London St Pancras on April 11, guests will get to visit an artisan chocolate maker, as well as taking a day trip to the World War I historical sites of Ypres and the Menin Gate.

Alternatively, discover the Railways of the Rhine on a four-day scenic break to Germany, from your base in Remagen. The steeply-inclined Kasbachtalbahn Railway between Linz and Kalenborn is included on this fully-guided half board trip.

Prices start at £385 per person, based on two sharing, with departure dates available from May 6 onwards.

Other short breaks next spring include Charming Amsterdam from £545 for five days, and Dordogne’s Highlights at £628 for a six day holiday.
