Tenerife is now using social networking to attract more visitors to the “Island of Contrasts”.

Since launching their Facebook page in January, the largest island in the Canaries, has already secured over 1,000 friends and received over 30,000 post views!

Readers also have the chance to win a seven night stay, for two adults and two children, on the island, staying at the Sheraton La Caleta Resort and Spa, as well as four tickets to the Siam Park water park. All they have to do is ‘Like’ the new Facebook page before March 11th by clicking here.

The site gives would-be visitors the chance to interact with those who may have been before and want to share their experiences, as well as representatives of the Tenerife Tourism Corporation.

Now is the ideal time to go with the world’s second largest carnival taking place in the capital Santa Cruz, until March 13th. There will be street parades, live musical performances and dance acts, with all the highlights appearing online.
