The French raise their game

Wednesday, 20 April 2011 9:18 AM

It seems France is growing in popularity right across the board, no sooner was it named the best ski destination in Europe, VFB Holidays has seen a rise in positive feedback on the levels of hospitality received in the country.

They revealed that customer questionnaires from the last quarter have been more positive than ever about the French, could it be that the stereotypes are finally being broken.

79 per cent of clients rated the hospitality as ‘excellent’ while in the past the welcome received was typically described as ‘satisfactory’ or ‘good’ at best.

Vice President of Marketing for Travelzest, Stuart Morris said: “The French have a bit of a reputation for their somewhat sniffy attitude towards foreigners, but we have seen a marked difference in hospitality standards over the past few months.”

It could well be that the current economic climate sweeping Europe could be to thank with more people upping their game not only to attract customers but to also keep them going back.

VFB Holidays sent more than 12,000 travellers to France in 2010, staying in their selection of 350 character cottages and villas.
