See Portugal by rail and book tickets in advance

Monday, 26 September 2011 2:48 PM

Seeing Portugal is about to get easier when Portuguese Railway tickets become bookable through a UK-based train reservations service.

Later this month travellers can book point to point travel, countrywide passes and InterRail tickets all through the International Rail's website.

The company is the only UK supplier and it means visitors to Portugal can buy everything in advance to completely plot and plan their break to make sure they see as much of the country as they want.

It will also be possible to plan the whole transport to Portugal, with train travel from London to a range of destinations in the country.

The weather over there is still hot and sunny and ideal for those looking to enjoy some last minute sunshine.

Popular journeys include Lisboa to Porto, with prices starting from £21 - or Lisboa to Faro starting at £15.50.

While the InterRail One Country Pass on Portuguese Railways starts at just £69 per adult for three days travelling in one month}
