Four nights in four-star Lake District for under £400

Thursday, 9 December 2010 11:26 AM

Enjoy a peaceful Christmas break in the Lake District village of Grasmere, with the last few rooms at the four-star Wordsworth Hotel and Spa on offer with four nights for the price of three.

Guests will be treated to a mulled wine reception on December 23, before a five-course tasting dinner. Christmas Eve features an optional walking tour of the area, following by a champagne and canapé reception to start your candlelit dinner.

No expense has been spared for the luxury Christmas lunch, which features six courses with all the traditional seasonal trimmings and a glass of champagne. Relax in the afternoon with a slice of homemade Christmas cake and a selection of seasonal games.

Festivities continue on Boxing Day with a Bucks Fizz brunch, ahead of the annual Duck Race on The River Rothay, where there will be many prizes to be won as well as mulled wine and mince pies for the river bank supporters.

Get all this, as well as four nights’ accommodation for just £395 per person. For more information, visit: www.thewordsworthhotel.co.uk
