There aren’t many five-star hotels that welcome dogs, but Brenner’s Park Hotel & Spa in Baden Baden is unlike most five-star hotels. As well as being canine-friendly, this luxury German resort boasts two Michelin stars for its cuisine.

Active visitors can choose from a range of activities, whether you want to play golf or tennis on site or even hire a bike to go cycling through the nearby Black Forest.

If you’re looking for a more relaxed weekend, then you can pick from a range of treatments in the spa, with a resident dietician and dermatologist on hand to offer advice on your beauty regime.

Foodies are also well catered for, as the hotel’s Park Restaurant boasts two Michelin stars, while the Wintergarten serves up a menu of classic cuisine with a strong Mediterranean influence.

Prices for a German break at Brenner’s Park Hotel & Spa in Baden Baden start at €175 (£150) per person per night, based on two sharing, and you can take the dog along for an additional €35 (£30).
