The Isle of Wright is inviting you to visit this April as a combination of the Royal Wedding, May Bank Holiday and Easter falling within an 11-day period sees many families looking to take advantage with a short break.

Whether you are a couple searching for a romantic getaway, a family looking to entertain the children or a group of friends looking to escape, the cross-Solent ferry operator, Wightlink, has come up with some pound-stretching deals to choose from.

Couples looking for a romantic break can stay in one of the seven exclusive rooms at the Hambrough in Ventnor, which boasts the Island’s only Michelin-starred restaurant.

The gourmet retreat offers sea views and uses a host of locally-sourced ingredients on the menu, from sea-bass to lamb.

For trips for Easter or the Royal Wedding, departures are on 22 or 28 April and a three-night Wightlink break at the Hambrough costs from £305 per person, including car ferry crossings from Portsmouth or Lymington.

For families or a group of friends the large self-catering property at Niton Barns in South Wight is equipped for your every need, with seven converted barns to choose from.

Departing on 22 April, a three-night Wightlink Green Getaway break at Hoys, Niton Barns costs £75 per person, based on ten people sharing, and includes car ferry crossings from Portsmouth or Lymington.
